UCI, you probably have a good chance. UCSD, though, maybe a little harder due to your SAT score. If you can, try retaking it to raise it to a 1900-2000.

Only your sophomore and junior year courses count for the UCs.

Your UC GPA is a very good 4.1428

Your UW GPA (for the UCs) is 3.857.

With your 1850 single sitting SAT, upward grade trend, and good ECs, you have a very good chance at both UCI and UCSD if you are an in-state student. Note: You are required to also take two SAT II exams by December, so take them both in October if you can (or take one then and one in December).

Your statistics aren’t too far off from getting you into UCLA, either–although you would probably need to improve your SAT scores by around 80 points. (and as I’ve noted you still HAVE TO take the SAT IIs, since those are required for the UCs). So you could take the SAT IIs in October and retake the SAT I in December if you wanted to try and get good enough scores for UCLA (my alma mater).

UCSD–Match (in-state)
UCI–Safe Match to Match (in-state)

P.S. It also depends what you plan to major in. If you plan on pursuing health sciences like neurobiology or if you plan to major in Economics, I’d attend UCSD over UCLA. Also, if you plan on majoring in business, UCI is the only one of these three with an undergraduate business school (the full program just starts this year at UCI). For most other majors, I’d choose UCLA. (Although, for computer science, I’d probably go to UCI)

Not bad at all! Match for UCI definitely. If you can get your SAT I up to 2000, you’d have a great shot at UCSD as well (friends just got in this year with 1950s).
