<p>I'm a junior at an academically-focused school of 1700 and will be applying in-state. I'm in the top 10% for GPA. My SAT scores are lower than I'd expected, but I plan to retake them again in April.</p>

and also, i would really like to know my chances. the children in SoCal are being much more academically rigorous than I am and my parents say the opposite of what my peers say.</p>

<p>To tell you the truth, don’t think your not gonna get into a UC. Your gpa alone will get you accepted. Your extra curricular are good and your sat scores are amazing. In a holistic view point you will get in. If you don’t then the UC System is nuts.</p>
