Your extracurricular are lacking. Everything else is good. Your essay is a big portion of your application too so nail that one.

UCB: Low Reach
UCLA: Low Reach
UCSD: High Match

Considering your lack of leadership in ECs, you’d really need to bring up that ACT to bring down Cal and UCLA to a high match/low reach level.

Your GPA is very strong though, and UCSD would be a solid match or lower if you bring up your ACT to a 32-33 level. Many students from my graduating class got into UCSD this year with comparable ECs and scores.

I’d say Berkeley is a low reach, UCLA is a low reach, and UCSD is a match. Definitely depends on if you’re a CA resident too. If you get that ACT score up to a 32/33 that would improve your chances greatly.

Would you guys say if i bump up ACT to 32/33 then Berkeley & UCLA would be matches? @JPhilly99 @IncorpXand @IBGuy101

I am a CA resident by the way, sorry forgot to mention

I’d say you’d have a really good chance at both, but still not quite match. Berkeley and UCLA are definitely hard schools to get in to so only a true admissions rep could really tell you for sure. Sounds like you qualify for ELC so that’ll help your chances too. Good luck in the applications process! Hopefully we’ll both get in to these great schools!

Bumping up your ACT to 32/33 would certainly improve your chances at Cal/UCLA a lot but I wouldn’t say it would make them matches
