1 year of Track and field and 1 year of Model united Nations, I know that doesn’t show much but I tried them out
NHS, Math honor society, spanish honor society, illinois state scholar for AP Tests: Physics 1 (5), English (3), APUSH (4), Macroeconomics (5), and Microeconomics (5).
currently taking AP Stats, AP Physics C, and AP Calc BC
heavily involved in church youth group and community development, went on 4, week-long, mission trips with church group (essay on mission trips)
worked at a grocery store for 1 year and lifeguarded last summer (actually rescued a little boy and mentioned it in an essay)
Also wrote one essay about my love for basketball and my rec league success, and another one about my hidden interest in fashion
I applied to general engineering and my older sister goes to school in California but that probably doesn’t matter.

Engineering is really competitive, but I think you’re a great applicant. You have great stats, decent extracurriculars, and seemingly good essays. If your essays are good, I think you’ve got a great chance! The only downside I see is extracurriculars, especially since I don’t see anything related to engineering. However, I don’t think that’s going to disqualify you at all. Best of luck!
