Get really good grades senior year to show that upward trend. I’d say Stanford is a huge reach, as it is for many. Berkeley might kind be kind of a reach, and UCLA and USC are about in this range. Do you have any other safeties?

My safety is University of Washington Seattle

I applied to U of Michigan Engineering EA but deferred and Georgetown EA but also deferred. Also applied to Dartmouth RD and Olin RD.

I was also wondering that because all of my B’s are mostly in Honors courses, should I have done the regular course and gotten an A? I know its too late but I would like to know.

I have taken the hardest load possible. There are no harder classes but I have not done superb in all. A lot of B+/A- ish along the board. Stanford is probably out of reach but how are UCLA UC BERKELEY and USC?

Stanford - No
Olin - No
Georgetown - No
Michigan - Maybe , but if deferred turns to yes assume no financial aid beyond loans.

UCB- Maybe, the GPA is low
UCLA - Same as UCB
USC - Possible,; normally Viterbi has higher stats than the average admit (3.8/2140) but they seem enamored with NMSFs and NMFs.

That you pushed yourself in the toughest classes possible is commendable and won’t go unnoticed. Just realize that at the schools on your list the vast majority of applicants took the same level of courses and you are competing against them.

I’m just wondering if my essays can get me in? They are stellar in my opinion and I would gladly send them/ post them here. I was also wondering b/c I am out of state, would that make it easier to get into the UC or not?

Great essays help. So do great recommendations and a 4.0 UW GPA and 2400 on your SATs. The schools your applying to attract a very competitive pool of applicants; it’s likely that they all believe they’ve written exceptional essays.

Well tbh my school only gives a weighted GPA so if someone would want to recheck my unweighted and UC Gpa, that would be greatly appreciated. As for the B’s, I have been frequently bullied during my high school years but have not mentioned that because I don’t want it to be an excuse to my academic concentration
