I am currently studiyng at a CCC and I am trying to transfer to UCLA, UCSD or UCB for civil engineering major (Structural engineering for UCSD). My GPA will be around 3.47 at the end of this semester. I am going to apply coming Fall and I will be done with all my GEs, Math, Physics and G Chem by the end of next spring. I won't be able to apply for TAG with UCSD because of my GPA is less than 3.5 by the end of this semester. I have a lot EC work too but I know they do not make much difference. what would be the lowest average GPAs for these universities for the above majors. What can I do to make my application stronger.
My main target is UCSD's Structural engineering program and I would like to know the average GPA for this program.

I heard that UCSD wasn’t going to offer TAG for Fall of 2013 anymore. Is this true?

@zcarfaz: UCSD cares about your GPA and that’s it. Structural engineering isn’t impacted here so far as I know, but I don’t know if a 3.47 is good enough to get in, especially with TAG being cranked up to 3.5 for this fall. If I were to make a guess, I’d say no for UCSD. UCLA is probably much more likely to be a no simply because it’s a more competitive admissions process.
