Personal Statement:
My dad went to prison in sixth grade and didn't come back until winter break of Junior year. I talked about how living with a <30,000$ income and having responsibility over my three younger brothers while my mom was at work and my older brother and sister were in college has made me into a much more responsible person than my peers.

I know my grades and test scores aren't the greatest, but I was hoping that with a decent GPA and strong essays I would hopefully show that I didn't have the most ideal situation to do my best in terms of academics. My grades since freshman year have rose, and this past semester I am looking at straight A's which I hope catches their attention. As far as my ACT score, I will be taking two more ACT tests and hoping for a 30 or above. I will be studying for them in the next couple of months.

In terms of school, my first college choice would be UCLA, then UIUC, and finally University of Texas
