Chance me for UCLA?

I'm only a sophomore, but UCLA is honestly my only choice. If I don't get in, my parents will send me away to community college. Not that there's anything wrong with community college...but you get the idea.

I just want to get a feel of how I'm doing, and if it's strong enough for UCLA. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!

ECs (weak spot):
-Member of Human Rights Watch: Student Task Force branch at my school. Hopefully will earn a leadership position next year and senior year.
-Shelter Helpers Club; we volunteer at animal shelters and raise awareness for animal-related issues
-Wonder-Woman; raising awareness for women's rights issues
-I introduced the international Education Under Fire campaign to my school, and organized a couple of screenings of the documentary about the campaign, and set up a time for students to sign an online petition.
-Next year, I'm planning on joining the Red Cross club.
-During this summer, I'm planning on volunteering at a hospital.

I would really appreciate any input! :)

Too early to bump?

Miss, I just asked the same question about myself for UCLA. Oh, and yes I would say it is too early to bump, but whatever.

I am not really qualified to speak for UCLA, but just in general you look on track to a good school. I had less AP courses and have gotten in to the bio program for UCSD, which is 9th globally. However, you must understand it is too early to call. Two years is a long time for things to change, and also your test scores on the SAT/ACT and SATII will severely affect your chances.

You also have fairly good extracurriculars, but they seem very slanted toward activism- not a bad thing at all, but I would try to balance it with a sport. Maybe take up cross country?

What it boils down to is you are doing everything right. But it is too early to call.

One question- how do you plan on going from precalculus straight to AP BC? Believe me, it is harder than you think.

You should have a serious talk about college to your parents about college, they seem to be poorly educated about them.

Your transcript looks good, keep those grades up. For the SAT, aim for 2100+ and work on getting leadership roles in your ECs.
