Chance me for UCLA?

I'm only a sophomore, but UCLA is honestly my only choice. If I don't get in, my parents will send me away to community college. Not that there's anything wrong with community college...but you get the idea.

I just want to get a feel of how I'm doing, and if it's strong enough for UCLA. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!

ECs (weak spot):
-Member of Human Rights Watch: Student Task Force branch at my school. Hopefully will earn a leadership position next year and senior year.
-Shelter Helpers Club; we volunteer at animal shelters and raise awareness for animal-related issues
-Wonder-Woman; raising awareness for women's rights issues
-I introduced the international Education Under Fire campaign to my school, and organized a couple of screenings of the documentary about the campaign, and set up a time for students to sign an online petition.
-Next year, I'm planning on joining the Red Cross club.
-During this summer, I'm planning on volunteering at a hospital.

I would really appreciate an input!

Looking good so far, but there’s still a ways to go. Keep up those grades, break at least 2000 on the SAT, write solid essays (maybe if you can write something meaningful about one of your ECs or capitalize on a unique experience, that would help) and you’ll give yourself a good chance. Scoring high on SAT IIs wouldn’t hurt either (even self-studying for certain APs could benefit in the long run). Schedule looks rigorous, if you plan to major in science I’d recommend taking another one of the AP sciences besides Enviro.

Also, BC without AB? I suppose it’s possible, just make sure you’re adequately prepared/comfortable with the fundamentals of AB, perhaps over summer you can read a calc textbook or something. As far as I remember BC was fairly different from AB but you still need to know the basics of derivatives/integrals, etc.

Which AP science would you recommend? I was thinking about self-studying AP Psych this year because I actually am interested in it, but I’m worried I might not have enough time left to master it until May.
And I am planning on reviewing calc a bit over the summer. Thanks so much for your advice!

Honestly you can spend about a week studying from one of those prep books (e.g. Barron’s) without having taken the class and still do well on the AP Psych exam (4 or 5), which I found to be one of the easier ones I took, even though I was not in the AP Psych class. The plus is that getting a 4 or 5 passes you out of Intro to Psych (Psych 10).

If you major in one of the life sciences I’d say AP Chemistry will be useful (more so than physics, especially if you take the 6 series for life science majors instead of 1 series for engineering majors), and most of your classmates will have already taken AP Chem.
