Congratulations on having great grades, test scores, course rigor, extracurriculars, and leadership. You have it all. I am not qualified to judge, but I think you are a shoe-in for UCLA. In my opinion, Berkeley is too unpredictable for making a guess, but you certainly deserve to get in.

You have the stats but STEM in UCLA is unpredictable.
(Low) match!

Everything seems good but your test scores (sat and SAT2), and AP scores seem poor. I’d say you have about 50% chance, its all about who’s applying that year, and demand for the major. If you chose a less practical major you’d definitely get in, but your test scores could use some improving. Plus you’re asian, so you get negative affirmative action points. Imagine how many asians out there did more than you, and have much better test scores and ap scores. I’d say 50% is reasonable. P.S., how could you not have taken AP physics, either general or light/electricity when you’re going into engineering? Wow.

Lmao a 34 ACT is UCLA 75th percentile so it definitely isn’t low. @mlsdream89

@mlsdream89 Probably not very nice of you to have made so many assumptions about the type of school and testing standards I come from, but I appreciate the feedback. (i.e. school does not offer AP Physics)

Well his intended major is engineering, not some liberal arts or not-practical degree that doesn’t give a high rate of return after graduation.
