transferring from Northern California Community college
major: Communications (UCLA's most impacted major, last yrs average admittance GPA 3.93)
My GPA: 3.93<br>
6/7 prereqs completed the last one is not offered at any ccc near me
prereq GPA: 4.0
will be finishing exactly 60 units the end of Spring 2010
will be TAP certified and completed with IGETC

Essays: 8/10

<p>he means you’re in, there’s a 10 character limit to post so he just put that in to meet the limit, and i’d also say you have a pretty good chance (though i’m not that familiar with communications at la…)</p>
<p>i thot the most impacted major at UCLA was film</p>
<p>they have a separate school for film. communications is the hardest major to transfer into in the college of arts and sciences</p>

<p>Don’t let the acceptance GPA let you down. My baseball teammate from high school went to the same CC as me and got into UCLA communications last year with a 3.8 and 7 W’s on his transcript. His only extracurricular was coaching little league baseball. He wrote his personal statement about how being a positive role model for the kids he coached helped them win the regional championship and sparked his compassion for motivational speaking and leadership.</p>
<p>I’m sure UCLA Communications gets a lot of 4.0s like any impacted major. This is why I believe the personal statement is important for anyone, regardless of GPA and ECs.</p>
