I'm eligible for a lot of honor societies, but I am doing those next year since riding, being a piano teacher, and my EC's take most of my time. I took the SAT test yesterday for the first time so I am still awaiting my score. As for subject tests, I'll be taking those in the near future. So what are my chances for these schools?

Thank you!

Bump.
Anyone?

I don’t know much about the pharmacy programs and their competitiveness, but as far as general admissions are concerned, if you do well on your SATs, and AP tests you are definitely on the right track.

I’d say if you score decently as in 2000+ on the SAT, your definitely a match at UVA since your instate, as well as UConn, Northeastern and Albany.

It helps alot that you have some medical and pharmacy related ECs, but I really do not know how competitive Pharmacy schools are, but since its a 6 year program, I’m going to assume its fairly competitive. It may end up being a reach for the pharmacy programs

Thank you!! (:

however, UVA could become a low reach since your from NoVA, so keep that in mind because it is very competitive up there, but once again, good test scores will probably get you in

Based on what you have, I think you have a good shot at those schools. It all depends that you get a good score on your SAT though. CHance back please

You need to give your scores…

I need your SAT/ACT Score to chance

Still waiting for those. I’ll post them when I get them! Thanks everyone!

Well…my SAT scores are in.
I didn’t do as bad as I thought, but certainly not as well as I hoped to do.

CR:600
Math: 620
Writing: 620

That puts me at 1840. I’m going to retake it again in March, but what are my chances now?

Not sure about the other schools, but as an out of stater trying for UCONN’s pharmacy program, you have no chance unless you attend UCONN as a Freshman, Sophomore and then apply. UCONN only gets 150 apps or so for 100 spots. Reason, its limited to instate students only and out of staters at UCONN. I know from personal experience. Your courses/grades and activities are fine. It will all depend upon your GPA and courses your Freshman/Sophomore Year, PCAT, college activities, pharmacy experience and interview. Lots of luck.

PS: Try the ACT. It is a seemingly easier exam and does not penalize for guessing. You will want a 31 or higher or an SAT score of 1340 or higher (without factoring in the writing) This will show you a superior student entering the University of your choice. It also will open doors for academic scholarships.
