If anyone could help me out, that would be really awesome :).
UMich- Reach
USC- Reach
CMU- Reach
Purdue- Did you apply before Nov.1? If so, it’s a Low Match/Safety
Georgia Tech- High Match/Low Reach
Tufts University- Reach
Your test scores are low for UMich, USC, Tufts, and CMU. They are a little low for GIT, but your Math/Science sections make up for that. Your GPA is also slightly low for GIT and really low for the others.
I’m far above the numbers required for CPP so I don’t really understand how it could be a match school. If Purdue is a match/safety then CPP should be more of a safety. I also think SLO and SB are more like matches.
@cc10294: If you applied to SLO ED, I would have said it was probably a Match to High Match, but if you applied RD, then competition is much tougher for EE. UCSB is a Match/High Match due to a small Engineering department with less spots available then some of the other UC’s. Your ACT score is above the average but UC GPA is a bit below and to be competitive you want stats above the average. You asked for chances and I gave them to you. Why ask for other poster opinions, if you think you know better. I am always happy to be proved wrong.
I didn’t mean to offend you @Gumbymom. My counselor recommended CPP as a safety and it threw me off that you would call it a match. Thanks for the chances :). PS I’ll prove you wrong about UCSB and SLO ;).
@cc10294: No offense taken and you are in the right to question my chances. I do have to agree that CPP is probably a good safety for you. By all means, prove me wrong about SLO and UCSB. Best of Luck.
Congratulations and I am glad you proved me wrong, that is why these Chancing threads are worthless. Good luck and both schools are great so you cannot go wrong with either one.
