<p>UCLA sounds like a good match for you! I don’t think you’ll have to worry about your race when it comes down to UC schools because they are obligated by law to take you in race-blind.</p>

<p>I do think you’re taking the SATs a little late, but that’s not a bad thing. The only reason I’m stressing this is if you want to receive scholarships from USC. December 1 being the last date you can submit your application to qualify for any merit money.</p>

<p>You certainly do have a minor regional advantage, since colleges love to boast about Hawaiians at their schools! (lol)</p>

<p>Finally, you do seem to have some good leadership positions in your xtracurrics. The only thing I’d suggest is that you’d not list any activity which you’ve only partaken in for a year, since that shows lack of commitment. Good luck on the SAT!</p>
