I think based on your Scores and GPA being slightly lower than the average for LA and USC, they will be reach schools. UCI and UCSB might be closer to matches. Um I am also looking at USC and this thread made me very worried. You seem like a fine candidate? Your SAT is right in the middle of their 50% range, and towards the top of their actual enrollees middle 50. If you are in the top 10% of your class and your essays are strong in explaining how Taekwondo has impacted your life I don’t see why USC would be that big of a reach for you. I wouldn’t bet my life on you getting in but I wouldn’t bet my life against it either.
Hmmm, I’m definitely not an expert but I think you have a pretty decent chance, especially at your low-range schools. Your APs are impressive as well as your ECs. Good luck!
