Most of the UC’s are off of the table.
Your scores are too low for Stanford/ UC’s and even Pepperdine.
Your resume looks like you spent time on your EC’s at the expense of your grades and stats.

You may want to go to the Community colleges to save money and to increase your grades.

UCSB and UCB are off of the list, low scores. A 1530 SAT and 21 ACT to be frank, wouldn’t even be considered. Pepperdine and Stanford are too highly ranked - low scores. ECs are fine.

As of for me, I think UCR would be a match for you. And UCD a high match.

You need to really consider the following question, are you currently ready – academically, intellectually, emotionally, and in terms of maturity – for a four-year college or university? Perhaps, you should begin at a local CC, transferring to a UC/CSU after four semesters? Your GPA and standardized tests results certainly indicate that may be the wise approach.

Overall your GPA and test scores are too low to be competitive at most of the schools except for CSUMB and CSUCI. For the UC’s, you might have a chance to UCM and UCR only. I would look into Whittier College and Azusa Pacific for privates and add possibly San Marcos, Dominguez Hills and your local in-service area Cal State for good matches and safeties. You need to get the GPA and test scores up immensely to have a real chance at any of the upper tier UC’s and privates. Good Luck and also think about a CC and use TAG to transfer to one of the UC’s.

Well, I have taken community college classes and got an A in Calculus, Communications, and Intermediate Algebra and then a B in ethnic studies. All the volunteer work at summer time. I know my GPA is not the highest. I had trouble my sophomore year when my brother died. But that is no excuse. I have applied to APU and I have been accepted along with CSUCI. I was just hoping I had a goof chance at a really good education. I just can’t stand staying at home any longer. Thanks for your input though!
