My capped UC GPA is 4.15 and uncapped is 4.48. I have taken 7 AP’s in 10-11 grade. My ACT is 35. What are my chances at UCSD, UCB, UCLA, UCSB, and UCI? Major is applied math. Thanks.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:
UCB: 12%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 39%
UCSB: 49%
UCD: 52%
UCI: 57%
UCSC: 83%
UCR: 90%
UCM: 92%
I would say you have a good chance at the majority of the UC’s on your list. Your ACT score is exceptional. UCB/UCLA are always tough but you do have a chance with your fully weighted GPA at 4.48.
Good Luck.
@Gumbymom Thank you! i also forgot to mention that i have SAT IIs of Math 2 770 and Physics 800. Do you think it will hurt me that I did not take AP Physics C? I took AP Physics 1 last year, but decided not to take C this year.
You have great SAT II scores and having at least one AP Physics course under your belt is fine.
Your responses of UC’s insight quesitons also play a role in the admission decision.
