So I'm mainly wondering if I will get into: UCSD, UCB, UCLA, USC, and Claremount McKenna. I know UCB and UCLA are already reaches but what about USC? I don't know too much about it and I'm wondering if I should even bother applying (do I have a chance? will it be good for my major?)

Thanks a lot for the help guys!
(let me know if I need to be more specific about anything please!)

I have safety schools, I’m just wondering which of these reach schools are too high for me.

CMC is liberal arts so I would think they would let you create your own engineering major. Being able to take classes at Harvey Mudd (which is much too high for me) and utilizing their science facilities are a big plus for me.

I know it doesn’t sound like it but I really appreciate your input! Thanks for the USC info, it helps out a lot. I think I might have to cross USC off my list since it’s too high for me and it’s scholarship deadline is right next to the UC deadline.

Do you think USC would be worth my time to apply to? It’s engineering program looks cool but I don’t wanna take time away from my UC apps if I don’t have much of a chance there.

It’s worth a shot. Use same essay as the UC. I think you have a better shot there than the other 3 UCs. UCSD is very point specific. The other 2 UCs are very UC GPA specific (put less importance on SAT). USC is a bit lenient toward GPA but prefers good SAT and places importance on the high school. If you came from a high school that feeds into USC you have a good shot.
Are you female? If yes, it’s an added bonus. You have better chances at the top UCs as well as USC.
