Chance me for UCs, USC, etc! I'll chance back!

Hello I'm a female, white high school junior from a public high school in Northern California. I am looking to apply to primarily schools in southern California (such as UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, and USC). I was wondering what my chances would be for these colleges? I have a weighted 4.09 gpa overall and a weighted 4.15 gpa for 10-12 so far (only 1st semester junior year included). My unweighted gpa is around a 3.7. I'm currently ranked in the top 9% of a large class (525 students) and have taken numerous honors classes in addition to AP World History last year, for which I received a 4 on the test. I am currently in AP English Literature and Composition and AP U.S. History and will be taking AP Language, AP Spanish, AP Government, AP Calculus AB and possibly AP Biology next year. I took the SAT in the fall and received a 1980 and I am planning on taking the ACT soon.

For extracurriculars, I have been involved in the dance department at my high school (a total of 4 years by senior year) and will be a Dance Club Officer (a leadership position) next year. Also, I was on a rigorous cheerleading/dance team last year. I am currently the secretary of the Community Outreach Club at my high school and am in Interact Club and Best Buddies. Additionally, I participate in a church youth group. Next year I am signed up to be a Student Leader Mentor (mentor to high school freshmen) and an academic tutor. I am currently a contestant in the Distinguished Young Women of the Napa Valley scholarship program.

Lastly, my ultimate career goal as of right now is to be a dentist.. But that is tentative at this point. Anyways let me know what you think and thank you so much for any help you can offer!:)

Bump… Someone help please!:(

Your GPA and SAT scores seem okay for some of the UC’s like Irvine, but I would definitely take it again and take the ACT too for some of the higher tier UCs and USC. I’m not too sure about the schools like Pepperdine because I didn’t apply there, although they are very good schools. Also, you GPA is on a good start and it sounds like it will be going up by your senior year :)

I would just work on your gpa and getting it as high as you can and I think you should get in to most of those schools.

Chance me back

bumpity bump
