Chance me for UC's?

Hey guys, just another senior stressing. I'm applying everywhere (where applicable) as a Chemical Engineering major.

UCB
UCD (in, ELC)
UCLA
UCSD
MIT

I'm ranked 8th out of 400ish, 4.4 weighted, 3.9 unweighted with a zero period Jazz Band killing my weighted GPA all 4 years, (by the way, if anyone has experienced this and got screwed on college admissions for it, tell freshmen. =P ) and have taken 10 AP classes. Please note that I took all of the AP's my school offers with the exception of French. I wrote some pretty durned good essays for apps, if that helps.

anywho,
AP's:
Spanish Lang
Spanish Lit
Calc A/B
Calc B/C (I would have taken this over A/B but it was only instituted after I had already completed A/B)
English Lit
US History
Chem
Physics (Its the B class, but I'm self-studying for the C tests)
Stats
American Gov't

SAT:
2250 (first try!)
1550 CR + M
760 Chem sub.
740 Math II

ACT:
33 comp
35 english
34 writing
32 math
32 science

EC's: Band Council for 2 years: VP 1 year (like ASB but just for Band)
Jazz band section leader: 4y
leader/manager of 2 jazz combos, 1 via school, the other on my own time for community service at rest homes (100h)
Wrestling: 1y
Science olympiad: 2y
Science Bowl Capitan: 2y
ecArts student chapter President: 2y (this is a comittee that responds to the community's wishes for how to better showcase the visual and performing arts students' work and how to use this to better the community. We're currently working on building a theater on the campus of my high school)

OH, by the way, I'm a CA state citizen. That's probably helpful for the UC's right?

Thank you to anyone who helps me out. =D

GPA and test scores look great for all those schools! I think you will probably get into all of them. The only one that looks borderline is MIT, and that is becuase their system is so unpredictable.

@MTBcrazy93
Thanks dude! MIT is definitely my reach. haha i’ll find out pi day, i suppose.

MIT is a reach for everyone but I believe you have a great shot at all the other universities. Excellent stats btw.

For the UCs I’d say low reach/high match
For MIT I’d say reach because it’s a crapshoot for everyone lol

@yousef
thanks, haha. it was weird with SAT’s, I went in on like 5 hours sleep going out of my mind on caffiene thinking I was gonna bomb it with like an 1800 total.

@kinetix64
yeah, MIT’s freaking crazy. I’ve lost all hope. I was happy with my deferral from early action and a prayer for grad school, if I decide to go that route. BTW, you’ve inspired me to bust out my N64 and go down nostalgia lane. =D

UCB- high match
UCD (in, ELC) done deal/safety
UCLA- match
UCSD- very low match
MIT- high reach

Very realistic chance at UCB, however your SAT II’s could be a little higher for such a competitive engineering applicant pool at UCB in math and science. Besides your music, your EC’s are okay, but not great.

Good luck!

Bump: In to UCLA
