I have a pretty decent GPA (3.8 nonweighted, 4.7 weighted and I think my UC GPA is around 4.1) and I expect to get 2250 on the SAT's at the very least, 2300 if it goes eh. I have pretty good SAT II scores (800 math iic, 800 biology/chemistry and I expect to get around 700 for US History). I have pretty good AP scores (mostly 4's and 5's). I believe I have solid extracurriculars since I have a few leadership positions I can put on my app and I won some awards at academic competitions (a lot from latin and some from science bowl). I have been working at a tutoring center for three years and I also play the piano, although I never really went to any competitions or anything so I'm not too sure to what extent that can help me. I'm also a pretty good essay writer so I don't think my college essays should be a problem. So do I have a pretty good shot at UC Berkeley and UCLA? And is it safe to say that UC Irvine could serve as my "safety school"?

Unless if you write poor essays, UCI can definitely be a safety.

You have a good chance at LA and Berkeley. Make sure you don’t just rehash your accomplishments on the essays and both schools should be high matches.
