I live in SoCal and attend a private college prep school.
I am looking to study Engineering(Mech, Electrical or chemical)

UC GPA: 4.1
UW GPA for all of high school: 3.6-3.7
weighted for all of high school: 3.8-3.9

SAT I: Math 800, Writing 660, Reading 720. Total:2180 (One sitting)

AP's taken:
Chem
Bio
Calc AB
Stats
Physics
Psychology?

EC's: 1 summer CTY @JHU (Creative non-fiction)
4 week engineering class @ JHU (Engineering Innovation)
4 year foootball, 4 year track and 2 year basketball player.
Some community service(most of it from a senior wellness center)
I plan on joining future doctors of america next year as well as starting science club.

My freshman year grades were a little low (3.33uw) so the UC GPA works well for me.

Chances for:
UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
UC Los Angeles

I will chance back if asked!
Thank You!

Varsity sports? National Champions? Recreational?

If I assume recreational sports with your stats, then it’s

Berkeley- No chance
San Diego- match
Santa Barbara- low match
Los Angeles- Reach

UCB Engineering: High Match (due to GPA and SAT, but EC will help a bit)
UCLA Engineering: Same as UCB, a little easier
UCSD Engineering: Match
UCSB: Low Match

Thank you! Do you think UCB is worth applying to?

good chance at all these unis!

Hey! I just got admitted to UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barabra!
and I got wait-listed from UCLA!

From what I see of your stats, you do have a great chance! Don’t listen to people like PxAlaska, because I had a way lower SAT score then you and I’m asian (male)! but I did have a higher gpa and way more ec and hours!
Keep working and we will soon see each other at UC BERKELEY!

Good luck!

Johan seems very enthusiastic :)

UCB is certainly worth applying to, but realize the CoE is more competitive than Letters.
