Calculate your CSU/UC GPA using this link (only Soph/Junior a-g course grades) :<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Grades look good. Retake SAT and aim for 2100+ for UCB/UCLA
Chances based on current SAT:
UCLA/UCB: Low Reach/Reach
UCSD/USC: High Match
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Match

Bring up your SAT score if you can. And calculate your GPA. What’s your intended major?

@Gumbymom Thanks! And will do.
@0RayLee0 Political Science!

Well, I think that you are definitely in the UCSD/UCLA bracket. Berkeley is pretty realistic as well, but your GPA might hurt you a bit. You see, my standardized test scores were lower compared to yours, but I made it to UCSD because of my GPA, and I have consistent A’s from freshman year until junior year, which is when I got my first B. Your SAT scores are definitely up there; in fact, I think that it will be your SAT’s that will anchor you.
Your extracurriculars are pretty great; you seem like a well-rounded person.
It seems to me that colleges like diversity; someone with a unique background. You have mentioned that you are Asian; however, as you know, the top UC’s are at least 50% Asian, and I was wondering if you have anything that will distinguish you from another person who has a background similar to yours (on paper, of course, I don’t know your life story). My advice is, highlight your uniqueness and the individual experiences that have made you the person you are today, which will make you successful (focus on your extracurriculars and write a unique personal statement). Also, I have learned that sob stories do not fly. If you have a sob story, make it into a learning experience story.
Best of luck!

P.S. if you are trying to major in political science, UCSD has one of the nation’s top programs
But I definitely think that your experience will get you into the top UC’s.
