Hello!
I really really REALLY wanna go to ucsb for Art History emphasizing Architecture and Environment.. (is this a competitive major..?)
do I have a chance at all??

- the horrible part: UW GPA: 3.13; UC GPA: 3.3 (I killed my GPA from Junior year and summer school sessions..)
- SAT I: 1850; SAT IIs: Bio: 590, US History: 620, waiting for my Nov SAT II for Lit to come out
- AP classes: AP Bio, AP US History, AP Literature, AP Econ/ Gov
- Honors: English I, II, & III Honors</p>

<p>ECs:
- Class of 2010 Social Chair officer-- 2 years
- CNKR (Committee to help North Korean Refugees) publicity officer-- 2 years
- LEO club member-- 3 years (50 community service hours total)
- Class of 2010 committee-- 4 years
- Link Crew-- 1 year
- Operation Smile-- 1 year
- Part of the school's string orchestra-- 4 years</p>

<p>Awards/ Honors:
- Principal's Honor Roll (3x)
- Dean's List: World History (sophomore year)</p>

<p>Essays:
- Pretty confident about them (:
- I wrote one about my love for art and who inspired me to go into it</p>

<p>It’s probably a high reach, but I wouldn’t count it out. I wouldn’t get my hopes up though. UWash will be slightly easier I think, but still a high reach for both.</p>

<p>I’d say that being a resident of California definitely helps you since they accept more in-state students. I’d call it a reach, but I think you have a decent shot. UWash might be less of a reach though.</p>
