Chance me for UCSB?

<p>Junior (senior in the fall )
Location: California
About me: Low income, minority
GPA: 4.86 (weighted junior year second semester) I’m not sure how to calculate UC gpa but I’ve maintained a 4.0 unweighted (straight A’s).
Class rank: 3 out of about 450 (college weighted)
SAT Scores: (First time) 580 CR, 630 W, 540 Math; total 1750 … I will be retaking in the fall
660 US history
ACT scores: will get them soon</p>

<p>Course Load:
Sophomore year: 5 honors courses
Junior Year: 3 AP courses, 2 honors courses
Senior year: 5 AP courses</p>

<p>EC’s
About 60 hours (I’m working on more this summer)
Applying for a volunteer program at my local hospital
Part of a club council, participated in mock trial (for almost 3 years)
Part of an advanced honor roll program (received the award consecutively for 6 semesters)
Featured in local newspaper for achievements
Intended major:
Undecided but I’m leaning toward socio-cultural anthropology, psychology, history, or sociology.</p>

<p>Do you think I have a chance?</p>

<p>I know that my test scores aren’t the best. If they are holding me back what is the minimum score that I should get for UCSB?</p>

<p>Next time you take the SAT 1 i would shoot for at least an 1850-1900, but you should be fine.</p>
