Current freshmen in the College of Arts and Letters. Admitted with a 30 ACT, 3.8 unweighted, Varsity Sports (2), Leadership positions and 200+ hours of community service. My GPA was on the lower end of admits, I think what helped me was my strong essays, and EC’s and volunteer work. I know kids at my school who were not admitted with higher stats than me that were denied. Work hard on your app, they do read them! Looking just at your stats tho, I think UCSB would be a medium reach. Good luck, UCSB is awesome!

For OOS applicants, only AP/IB and DE courses count for the extra honors points in the calculation.
I included that in the post but unweighted is 3.95 and 4.33 weighted. Is that decent?
Oops, sorry missed that. Yes your GPA looks great. Your ACT is on target so UCSB looks very likely.
thank you!
You are still within range for UCSB academically. I am sure your audition will have more of an impact on your acceptance or rejection.
