Chance me for UCSD!!!

Get your SAT or ACT up, it should be at LEAST 20xx. Also, since CSE is not an impacted major, it therefore does not have limited enrollment, so if you apply for that major, you should be able to get it once you’re accepted. Here’s a list of impacted majors at UCSD.

Your GPA is a bit low, but if you can get your SAT/ACT up to at least 2000 and if you write a solid essay, you’ll have a fairly good shot. I received admission with a lower GPA than yours.

I agree with what everyone else said. Try to get your SAT into the 2000s range and I think you have a fair shot. Otherwise it’s a bit of a stretch, but at least you have good EC activities. Your GPA is definitely your weakest point, and it’s the only thing that keeps me from saying you have a decent chance. At this point I would probably re-take the SAT and work on writing a good essay. Hopefully you have something going for you like low-income, exceptional family situation etc. Good luck!

does it matter to colleges if im the first person in my family to go to a college in the US?
