UC GPA is 4.0? Course rigor is lacking, since I only see 2 AP classes. Does your HS offer a limited amount of AP’s? Other than UCB, UC’s do not accept LOR’s.

3.67 UC GPA. No the school offers a lot of AP’s but my friend chose a higher GPA over course load.

The 4 most important parts of the UC application are: GPA/Test Scores/HS Course Rigor and Essays with GPA the most important. Your friend’s course rigor is lacking and it will hurt his/her chances along with a low UC GPA.
Best chances for your friend would be UCSC/UCR and UCM. With outstanding essays, they may have a chance at UCI??.

UCSD is a Reach.

Average UC GPA:4.13 ACT:30

Thank you!

I agree - UCSC, UCR and UCM are your best shots.

Apply to SDSU too…
