Great essays and recommendations

I chance back! Thanks in advance

My son is a freshman at UW, from out of state. I would say that the 3.75 unweighted plus the decent test scores is ballpark for UW.

However, make sure you write your essays specfiically for UW, not some generic common app essay that you submit. UW is popular among east and west coast kids, and only about 25-30% of the class is out of state (non Wisc/MN – which has a tuition exchange program), so there is real competition for those spots. Don’t let the 50% acceptance rate fool you, UW was my son’s friend’s dream school and he was rejected.

Good luck, UW is an incredible place.

Thank you so much for your response. I wish the had Early Decision but hopefully my essays and recommendations will set me apart from the rest :).

Im applying to UF also! I think you’re stats are good, your ec’s are really good and youre SAT is good but would u consider retaking it. Have yu taken act, chance me back! hahah

No time to retake it I got a 29 on the ACT but I think its a few points less than a 1950! I will def chance you back, good luck!
