Your chances look good for BU, but with your ACT score UM and UF would be stretches.

I wouldnt even consider Vanderbilt unless you get your ACT score up to a 32+

The primary weakness in your application would definitely be your ACT. I’m only really familiar with Vanderbilt, and they have a Middle 50 ACT of 33-35 for RD. As such, Vanderbilt would be a high reach.

If UM means UMich, they it would be a high match to low reach. The mid 50 ACT is 29-33 and average GPA is 3.83.

UF: match
UM: high match/low reach
Boston University: low match
Vanderbilt: reach

Vanderbilt: Reach
UMI: Reach
U Miami: Low match/Match
UF: Match
BU: Match

I highly suggest that you apply to QuestBridge for National College Match. - [QuestBridge Home](http://www.questbridge.org/)
Now, it’s highly likely you won’t be Matched to Vanderbilt (receive the full-ride scholarship that’s facilitated by QuestBridge), but you might be a Finalist, and Finalists do receive a lot of perks. You don’t even have to apply through QB, you can apply regular decision. Also, Vandy LOVES QB kids (it wouldn’t be a partner college otherwise!) However, Vanderbilt is also a school that prizes scores above GPA, so you are advised to take the ACT again, perhaps try the SAT, or get some other scores that may weigh in your favour (SAT IIs and APs).
