<p>I know it's bad, I had a terrible freshman year, I improved greatly....though</p>

My mom works at a hospital and I volunteered for my 4 years of high school...something like 800 hours LOL</p>

<p>Your GPA is a little low but considering everything else I think you have a good chance of getting in.</p>
<p>That gpa is a little low and is the main thing holding you back. Everything else is great and damn, you did 800 hours?? I would advise to apply to other colleges just incase. Good Luck i also applied to UF.</p>

<p>And yeah haha my mom works at my local hospital so I was there every day I told myself I might as well become a volunteer haha</p>
<p>My gpa is low because I went from a public middle school to a tough private school with a challenging curriculum and it took me a while to adjust but I have an upward trend </p>

<p>Definitely agree that GPA is the thing holding you down, and because of that I have to say that UF is a high match/slight reach. This is because according to [University</a> of Florida - Admissions](<a href=“http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frprofile.html]University”>Freshman - How To Apply - University of Florida) people with that GPA have an 27.7% acceptance rate. I do think everything else helps a lot though. Good luck, hope all goes well!</p>
<p>Yeah I see your point, it seems that GPA is really important…I wrote a good essay and put a lot of effort into my application, all I can do is wait :).</p>

Hopefully for you, you’re great SAT score will override your weak GPA. Suggestions- there is nothing else you can do than just wait and don’t neglect your other college applications and your current course work as any acceptance can be rescinded for bad senior grades.</p>
<p>The GPA is a tad on the low side, but you may still have a chance.</p>
<p>You got everything else knocked down right? (Rank included, I assume, if the school ranks that is); so you should be fine. Remember, the admissions are holistic, you’re looked at as an overall individual</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. As others have said, your gpa is a bit lower than most but it is still within range and also you have done pretty well in the other portions. ilovethe47 brings up a good point. Be diligent.</p>
