ACT: 26

AP Exams: Calc AB 4

I will have finished 9 AP classes by the end of my senior year. AP World History, AP Chem, AP Calc, AP English Comp, AP Macroecon, AP Gov, AP Physics, AP Lit, AP Music Theory

Member of National Honor Society (2 years), Mu Alpha Theta (3 years), and President of Tri-M and was VP last year (2 years).

I am a member of the TODD Center which is only offered at my high school focusing on leadership and presentation skills as well as the ability to write a critical analysis.

I have been Brass Captain of the marching band for 2 years and have participated in All-County band for all 4 years on tuba. This year I am a part of the 11-12 Florida All State Band.
I have volunteered at a middle school with their music department for 5 hours a week beginning this year.

My current major is engineering but I am debating switching it to music for the first semester to get accepted and then switching my majors.

Let me know your thoughts on whether you think I can get in without changing my major. Thanks!

First, UF doesn’t consider major as part of admissions for Freshmen(only if you’re graduating from high school with an AA, in which case you also have to apply to your major’s college). UF assumes you’ll likely to change majors a few times.

You’re a match at UF, your GPA and EC’s are great, but your test score is just OK.

Good Luck!

Even though grades and EC’s are good, your test score puts you in the bottom 25% of admitted students. UF rejects many students with higher ACT scores. Admission could go either way but you certainly have a decent shot. Good luck.

You’re a good match for every aspect, but scores are a bit low. Still I’d say you’d get in. Good luck!

I am also applying for Summer B Semester so would this increase my chances at all? Thanks!

Yeah. All Summer B students have higher chance because it’s not an ideal pick. Good luck!
