Comments: I believe my essay is okay but my gpa is horrible. I think my gpa means automatic rejection since i don’t have anything outstanding or unique about me but I’m hopeful. I have visited twice. I do go to a college-prep high school. Good Luck to everyone as the stress ensues this week!
Yikes this year is tough because last two years they took a lot of students. You’re not too shabby, but I can guarantee it’s a 50/50 chance. I’m only a junior in high school and I see all the seniors are going to flip out in three days. I’m going to say probably no, but I really want you to prove me wrong. Congrats/sorry in advance if you do or don’t get in. UF will be my safe school next year and I really need it. Also, your schedule is quite similar to mine but scratch out honors to AP calc, AP environmental science, health science, dual enrollment statistics and English, health science honors, and AP Capstone Research. I’m only a junior, but image if I don’t get in. I don’t mean to show off and stuff, but this just shows the extent of cutthroat competition that goes on. Good luck!!!
Also, international studies… Why not FIU? They have a good program going on. FSU is good and UM is pretty costly… I’m not gonna say anything about out of state except that Ohio seems like a boring state (no offense intended)
@shreyaheart thank you! I wish you the best of luck next year. If I don’t get in than its not big deal but an acceptance on Friday would be nice haha. Im on the pre med track I just find IS interesting. Yeah UM is expensive and osu is in a city so there is always something going on.
UF will consider that your school caps AP classes. They also now consider rank, but it’s not as important as GPA/Class Rigor/Essay/Test Scores. What matters is how you did compared to your peers.
Good Luck!
@Gator88NE sorry I don’t know if I phrased that right. They don’t cap the number of AP classes a student can take, they cap the amount of students in a class. For example, in a school of 230 seniors, only 15 can take AP lit.
