Chance me for UGA, UT, Texas A&M, UF, UIUC, and Penn State!

Please chance me for the University of Georgia, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, the University of Florida, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Pennsylvania State University! You do not have to chance me for every single one if you don’t know; only chance me for ones that you have an idea of, please! I will be applying early action to each one that has that application plan. If it does not have this plan, I will still apply as soon as I can for a better chance of getting in.

I’m currently a junior.

Please ask me if you have any questions. I will chance back if you ask me to. Thank you!

You’d be fine for Penn State. However public schools in Texas are very hard to get into out of state…I’d suggest maybe only looking at one Texas school and look elsewhere, maybe a public school that doesn’t take residency into account

Your M and W scores are comfortably above the 75th percentile for PSU-UP; reading will be as well if you get above a 620. And your GPA is great, of course. I think you’re definitely in if your new reading score is what you expect it to be. Good luck!

Your test scores and academics look strong enough for these schools, but I think you are a bit lacking in your ECs if your looking to get into UT Austin. Also you may want to consider taking SAT II tests if you’re sending the SAT versus the ACT but don’t take them if you don’t have to - just make sure you do what you have to for each app

Chance me back?

@Etuck24 I understand. Do you think it would help me at all to get into either UT or Texas A&M that my parents were both Texan residents and attended Texas A&M? My mom even pursued accounting at Texas A&M. Not sure if that would affect anything.
@bodangles‌ Thank you! I’m hoping it will be above a 620, but who knows!
@collegelyfelolol‌ Yeah, my ECs are very weak because I am not a very well-rounded person. I spend almost all of my time studying because rigorous schoolwork does not come to me naturally. Also, I’m afraid I would not do well on the SAT II tests, but would that hurt me? Does even deciding to take the SAT II tests, even if I do badly, look good in itself? And yes, I’ll chance you back!

Well it depends based upon whether the college mandates you submitting them, but you can send them on your own and I don’t think they have that heavy of an impact on admissions. But giving them a shot never hurts - you have a good ACT score that you could always submit if you have to.

@collegelyfelolol‌ Unfortunately, UT Austin’s website says, “To be official, any ACT score you submit must include a score for the ACT Optional Writing Test taken on the same day as the ACT Exam. If you’ve taken the ACT exam but not the writing exam, you’ll need to retake the ACT exam and be sure to register for the Optional Writing Exam on the same day as the date you register to retake the ACT exam.” Luckily UT Austin is not my first choice, but I do like to have options.

Bump!

Bump… I got my March SAT scores back, and the only thing that improved was reading (to a 640).
Also, I am aiming to get into the honors college at UGA. Do you think I can get into it (hopefully automatic admission) with what my stats are now? I doubt it, but I really don’t know…
