Hi, I'm an in-state Asian female applying for Fall semester 2014 RD. AP/IB Certificate, all other classes are Gifted with the exception of 2 Honors courses. First generation, low income. 13 AP/IB courses by end of high school.
Unweighted GPA: 3.52 (Shows upward trend, started out very rough but kept 4.0 all of junior year)
ACT Superscore: 32 (W:34 R:36 M:27 S:29 Essay:31)
ECs (the 4 that I put on my application, can list up to 5):
-Member of Board of Directors for National Spanish Honors Society
-Treasurer + Website Designer for statewide cultural committee
-conducted an optional project for IB- raised over $300 for a charity by selling handmade jewelry, won award + recognition from charity
-Daily volunteer tutor for struggling 9th graders
3 of my essays were really good, one was not horrible, but not as good as others.

UGA match. Good luck. Chance me back, maybe I will be there with you! (My chance thread is called chance me for Florida State please. … Dont know how to put the link from my phone. … it’s new. Lol)

UGA’s a match/low match. Your GPA isn’t too shabby (the upward trend is especially nice), and your ACT is great and so are your ECs. I definitely think you’re in! :)

Match/low match. Your GPA isnt stellar bu you totally make up for it with the upward trend and test scores. Your ECs are great too so if you wrote a fantastic essay i think you’ll easily get in.

Okay, so your GPA isn’t so great, but you got a great test score and ECs. I personally think you’ll get in easy. Seriously, and being in-state helps tremendously. Not to mention, you’re Asian and UGA could use some diversity. The odds are not against you here.
