(I got a 1710 the first time 590 math 550 reading 560 writing i think).
3.05gpa (around there) unweighted but it should go up
88.5/100 ish gpa
EC: beta club, psychological club, swimming 2 years(junior+senior year), academic club, 40+ hours of community service, and soccer in freshman year but discontinued because i broke my leg.

APs: ap world, us, psych, (got a 2, 2, and 4). This year im taking ap bio , chem, econ, and bc calc.

I got defferred to regular decision from UGA and rejected with conditional acceptance to ga tech. Im really worried now because UGA is all i have left if i dont get in im gunna be screwed and have to go to an average college until i transfer to tech...

Bump please need a chance badly

I’ll give you 2 chance ratings, which represent the extremes. IMO a 88.5/100 GPA is more like a 3.65 than a 3.05.

UGA (3.05): High match
UGA (3.65): Low match

I had a very similar SAT score and got in early action. Granted, I had a higher GPA, but still, I think you have a pretty good chance to get into UGA for regular admission.

Thank you so much for the replys. It really does bring a huge relief to me because i thought i was at the low end of the spectrum because of my bad gpa. I will still do everything possible to try to make that RD letter a positive one.

In your opinion why do you think i got defferred?

Bump anyone else want to give it a shot?

I go to UGA, and from what I can tell, the Admissions Office lets in the highest possible scores and best possible candidates with EA. So, the ones with the highest SATs and GPAs get in based on that. If you’re no good at all and apply EA, then you get completely rejected. Since you were deferred, that most likely means that you’re a good candidate, but they want to look further into your application in a holistic manner (seeing other aspects of you as an applicant: EAs, etc.) to see what more you can offer and bring to UGA. Long story short, you still have a legit shot. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the reply!a
