UW GPA: 3.79
W GPA: 4.0
SAT: 1730 (not good standardized test taker)
Extracurriculars: president of national honor society, captain varsity field hockey, athletic leadership council, Spanish honor society, class reps, publicist of student tutoring club, work 15-20 hours/week, volunteer as field hockey/lacrosse coach at camps
Classes: all honors and AP courses and an internship at a hospital
Essay: strong- about shadowing in a C-section
Recommendations: very good </p>

<p>Your GPA looks decent enough, your SAT really hurts, but your extracurriculars and classes are very strong and I’ll take your word for your essays and recs. Overall, I think you’re in the “match” section for UMass. Understand I’m basing this solely on the info you’re giving me, but personally, the admission’s office workers must be smoking something if they don’t take you.</p>
