I’m sure you’re in good shape for UMass-D if you maintain your gpa. Make sure you take challenging courses (AP, if available). BC is especially tough to get into. Might want to add BU & other UMass campuses to your list. Just do your best and don’t worry. There are many good schools.

BU doesn’t have a nursing program. I’m all honors, with a self-study of AP Bio. Do you know about Northeastern? If I can get it up to a 3.5, do you think I could get in?

I thought I remembered talk of BU nursing when we visited, but I guess it was just BC. I’m no expert on college admissions, especially nursing. What you can do is compare your SAT etc to students attending various schools just to get an idea. Getting admitted is one thing, paying for it is another. Be careful not to take on too much debt. Don’t forget to enjoy your last 2 years of high school. Good luck.

Northeastern likes a higher gpa, I know that because my friend with a 3.5 got denied (4 got in, probably due to other stuff too though. Just an assumption.) bc is a reach get the gpa up and take subject tests. Study up on math section of sat, if you want any help on any questions PM me.

I think you have a good shot at all of them except Northeastern and BC which are both definitely reaches. I also think you would get into UMass Amherst which is the main UMass campus, though I didn’t like it too much when I visited. UConn is a high match and I think you will get into UMass Dartmouth and Quinnipiac. Sinse your only a sophomore, you still have time to improve. I am applying to some very good schools solely based on the fact that I have nearly a 3.8 UW this year (junior year) and over a 2000 on my SAT. Before that my UW was about a 3.0. I have no idea what the results will be, but it can’t hurt. If a school understands that I am no longer the same student I would very well get in.

Thank you guys so much for your answers. I’m taking honors math next year (a step down from my pre-ap math) which should help, because it distracts me from other classes. What should I try to get my GPA up to?

I go to Connolly in Fall River. UMass is a given for you. Several seniors in my school today were rejected by Boston College, despite having a 4.2 GPA, NHS, and a 1790 on the SAT. He was Asian too. He got into Northeastern though.

I’d say you have a good chance for Northeastern, too. However, someone in my school today just got rejected from there, despite having a 3.6 GPA and a 1690 GPA.

Can you chance me back please, I posted above:
It shows that he is willing to sacrifice his own life in the name of his country and his king, Duncan.

Get that math score up! That will definitely improve your chances. I’m not familiar with any of these schools, but I’d say you have mediocre chances. Low UW GPA also.

Your math score does need help, but I feel like your GPA is a little weaker. You don’t exactly have anything that STICKS OUT. While I don’t know most of those schools on that list, I can say that you’re pretty much in for UMass-D, and not as strong for Northeastern.
