<p>I'm am Currently a High school junior and i want to attend UMBC i live in baltimore,MD. I played Varsity football,Debate,indoor,outdoor track runner,vouleenteer at mercy and university of maryland , Book club,litho club . My weighted GPA:2.94 :( Weighted:3.00. i know my gpa on the down but will it screw me over? my sat i will take next saturday and will try to get 1500 or 1600. i heard the acceptance rate at umbc is 69% and i will get multiple letter of recommendation from teacher. And i heard they have an 69% acceptance rate and i will apply early too when i do well in SAT. I want to major in Biochemistry</p>

<p>I would definitely try to get at least an 1800 on your SAT, they may accept a lot of applicants, but with a low GPA, good SATS are a must. </p>

<p>Actually, early action is more competitive than regular decision, however I would definitely apply EA, and if you don’t get in, you will automatically be defered to regular decision in march. </p>

<p>Yes, if you get deffered, you submit a midyear report, but that’s it.</p>

<p>I’m not completely sure, but I would go to commonapp.org to see what it is. Its pretty much a report of your first semester senior year.</p>

<p>Good news! As it turns out, you DON’T have to submit a midyear report if you get deffered, but you can if you want the grades considered in your application.</p>
