Despite your Fall '12 grades, you are unlikely to be accepted. This is because you likely would not have been accepted as a Freshmen. UofM gives transfer priority to students entering the university with 45 or more credits, you would enter with 30 or so. This exception for this rule is if you would have been accepted as a freshmen.

I was in a similar position as you last year. I had a 3.6 HS GPA and 30 ACT. I did great my Fall semester but I was rejected. After contacting my transfer admissions counselor, she informed me I was rejected because one semester of college grades is not enough to base a decision off of, therefore she had to look back at my HS transcript and rejected me from there.

So would you say that I have no chance of going in? I really want to get into Michigan, and want to establish a true college experience there, which is why I want to get in as early as I can. Has anyone else gotten in with my stats?

There have been people who have gotten I’m sure. You do have a chance of getting in, as does everyone so I will not tell you no.

The problem that arises is that UofM does not typically take students in your position. You will have only ~20 credits worth of grades in college they can look at and that is not enough for them to exclude your HS transcript from their holistic process. They will examine your high school transcript and if it was not enough to get you in a freshmen, your chances will diminish unfortunately.
