Chance me for UMich, UNC and others

Hi everyone I am currently a sophomore in high school, I have been very eager to start the college process by touring schools and understanding my chances for these schools. Schools I have been looking into have been, UMichigan, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke, Cornell, Syracuse, Naval Academy (possibly). I’m still open to having my mind changed on some of these schools or adding other options. I currently have around a 3.7 GPA unweighted both Freshman and Sophmore year so far. Freshman I was in the 3.6s but it’s mainly because I played 3 sports out of the 3 seasons. This year I’ve improved to the 3.7s and 3.8s unweighted, So I have an upward grade trend so far

3 Year Varsity Lacrosse (going to be)
2 Year Varisty Wrestling (going to be)
JV Lacrosse Captian
Lacrosse Club Team (in off season)
Applying to National Honor Society
Possibly Spanish Honor Society
Waiting for Acedemic and Athletic awards as high school goes on.

I’ve been Accepted into the Leadership program for 11th grade, it is mainly for seniors though. I was 1 of 4 Sophomore’s to be accepted into the program early. Leadership runs many things around our school and is considered a good thing to put on a college resume. Especially because I am able to participate in it for 2 years rather than what is typically 1.

Obviously I am only a Sophmore in highschool but I would like to hear what others have to say to better my chances. Or give me options for other schools.
Also I have not taken any standardized testing yet. But I am planning to take the SAT II on World History. And the ACT and SAT in my 11th grade year.

Really hard to say this early on, honestly. Try to keep straight As to improve your GPA and be sure to study for the ACT and SAT.
Try to find work or internship experience and really involve yourself in everything you possibly can that has to do with your intended major. Schools like to see a story and that you really invest yourself in what your passionate in. While a wide variety of ECs isn’t bad, make sure that you can tell your story (and that your passions will clearly be demonstrated therein)

I know its hard to know what you are going to want to do this early on, but at least try to focus on the general area in which you think you’ll major. Internships are pretty easy to find if you actually look (I wouldn’t call myself an expert but I do have quite a bit of experience. If you want a few tips, tell me what area you think you’d be interested in and I might be able to help a little).

The schools you have on your list are doable if you can increase your GPA, do well to excellent on the tests, and focus yourself into a specific area, whatever that entails.

Best of luck, keep up the good work, buddy. And study study study!

Try a fortune telling forum. Without a real test score and a near final GPA, there is no way to chance.

@lifeissoobtuse thank you very much for your response it is greatly appreciated, I am currently interested in either business or law. What internships would you recommend and how would I go about it? Also would you recommend shadowing over being an intern? Also what ECs would you say coorelate with the idea of business/law. Thanks again
