I'm expecting it to be a reach, I guess I'd just like some opinions...

Um..I think that's about it. Tell me what you think.

Your ACT is great. A very high ACT will make up a bit for a lower gpa. Your grades are improving as you say. That looks good too. Lots of extras as well. Apply as early as possible. Remember when you calculate your gpa to eliminate your freshman year. Best of luck to you.

Thank you very much, and I did recalculate my GPA. ^^ Anyone else?

There’s not much to say, I mean you’re pursuing your interests and you got a good ACT score. Just try to work on that GPA and you’ll have a solid chance (especially because you’re instate. and you go to an Ann Arbor school (assuming your location thing is right)).

The arrow in my location means I intend to go from Temperance to Ann Arbor, so I’m not in an Ann Arbor school (I wish). I’m in SW Michigan and I’m pretty close to Ann Arbor, but I’m not local. ^^; Thanks for your input anyhow.

Make that SE Michigan blindtrombonist and I’ll agree with you. ;-)

sorry, lol. That was a typo, yes, SE Michigan.

I don’t even know if I would call you a reach. Based on your ACT, extracurriculars, and your courseload I would call it a fit, especially if you have an upward trend in your GPA. Just make sure you apply early. Good luck.

Reach.
Gpa is way too low. The 33 won’t make up for it (enough).

Try and get that GPA up to a 3.6 or 3.7 if you can, your ACT is very good though a 33 is a good score for Michigan. Like everyone else has said, your extracurricular activities and ACT are very good, just focus 100% on getting that GPA up because Michigan definitely cares about GPA.

blackpen2008, I had a friend who got in with a 32 ACT and a 3.5 GPA without this difficult of a courseload so it’s definitely possible.

Thanks everyone for all of your input, I really appreciate it.

You are the type of applicant Michigan should accept. Anyone with a 33 ACT + 3.5 GPA with tons of AP’s is perfectly qualified, moreso than someone with a 27 ACT and 4.0 GPA.

Agreed with cc. Just try to make sure you crack the 3.5 barrier : )

Taxi… one friend getting in does not mean it’s a trend.

yes that’s true and he said it was a reach. He didn’t say it was impossible. ^^
