Chance me for UNC-CH, Duke, USC, UCLA, and Vanderbilt, please!!

GPA (w): 3:89 (low ikkk  ) it’ll go up to a 4.15 with the grades I currently have/will end the semester with

SAT: 2100 (didn’t send to UNC, Vandy)
ACT: 35 (sent to all)

SAT II: Spanish (670, I took it in December and auto-sent it to all schools, bad decision ik…), Math 2 (770), Biology M (710), Chemistry (730)

13 APs total:
Chemistry (3), Biology (4), Env. Sci. (5), Micro/Macro (4 on both lel), AB Calc (5), Spanish Lang (5), APUSH (4)
Taking this year: English Lit., Spanish Lit., US Gov., Psych, BC Calc
Post-APs: Organic Chemistry, Intro to Neuroscience

Very rigorous course load compared to other high-schools, but within mine people are taking courses of the similar caliber, so I’m not too sure rigor matters.

Extracurriculars:
Coordinator and Leader for two programs; one involved with mentoring and one with tutoring
Intern for a health organization
JV Soccer (2 yrs)
Varsity soccer (1yr aka this year, but hasn’t started yet)
Instructor for a biology and neuroscience program
Hospital volunteer at a local bay hospital (450+ hours)
Neuroscience research at a lab

Jobs:
Soccer and basketball referee
Tutor

Awards/Honors:
Varsity Junior Award
Honorable Mention for National Spanish Exam (3 years)
Spanish Honor Society (2 years)
National Honor Society (1.5 years)
AP Scholar with Distinction + the reg one

Recs:
Counselor: Not sure, maybe basic?
2 Teachers: Very strong. I didn’t get a good grade in AP Chem, but had a great relationship with the teacher. I’m hoping she will write a good rec, though I think she will.

Essays:
Common App- very good (I think?)
Supplements: Decent. I tried hard and got multiple views on them.

Race: Asian
Income: Upper middle class (i think, maybe reg middle class)
Gender: Female
Intended Major: Biology/Neuroscience

ik my shots at Duke and UNC are very slim. Just want other views

bumppp

I am from North Carolina and many of my friends went to UNC and they had lower credentials but in state students have a much higher acceptance rate. I think your GPA will be an issue for both those NC schools as well as Vandy. Not sure about the CA schools.

Your chances are low for UCLA and USC, more so for UCLA, as UCs care more for GPA than score - Low Reach

Whats your unweighted gpa?

GL with your UNC application. I highly recommend it.

@bksoccer7 no idea. my HS doesn’t give us that data. we don’t do class rank either

Duke is still a reach but you have a good shot of getting in with that ACT. The main downside of your app are your grades. If you have a 3.89 weighted than im assuming you have multiple Bs an maybe even Cs. UNC is most likely a match if you are in-state. If you are OOS than it will be hard for you but even then you have a shot. IDK about the other schools.
