 They  only admit about 300 pre-admits (only 50% accept so really only 140 enroll) out of about 3000 pre-admit applicants. It seems like you’re in the suburbs of Detroit (me too! I love violin and piano as well and have competed in AGM for piano) so being in-state helps your chances as well.
