Employment:
Calculus/Physics Tutor
Teach my home-schooled neighbor Pre-Algebra/Algebra and Wheelock's Latin (he's 11 years old and really smart, I teach him the material and give him weekly homework to do)

You are a strong applicant. Be aware that engineering selectivity varies by major, and changing majors to another engineering major requires applying to do so. For mechanical engineering, there is a separate application for the full ride Drake scholarship.

But (for Berkeley) IB math HL will not gain you anything in placement or subject credit beyond what a 5 in AP calculus BC gives (both give you Math 1A and 1B subject credit). If you wish to go further in math, see if you can take transferable courses in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations at a local community college.

Berkeley engineering (but not the physics major) will give you subject credit for Physics 7A with a 5 on AP physics C mechanics. No other physics you take in high school will give you additional subject credit; you may wish to take the physics courses that match up to Physics 7B at your local community college instead.

See [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) to match courses at your local community college to those at Berkeley and other UCs and CSUs.
