You probably mean 2090 or 2080 on the SAT… but, even so, the 32 on the ACT will be the better credential of the two.

Just wanted to let you know: it’s the University of Southern California, not the University of California- Southern. USC is a private school that is not affiliated with the UC system.

Thanks so much for your responses! And yeah I meant 2080 LOL I couldn’t change it because there’s a 15 min period where you can and I missed it lol

does a low unweighted GPA affect my chances here? like my unweighted is like 3.47… on a 4.00 scale…

Whats your UC GPA?? Is it 4.13?? Most schools will recalculate your GPA based on their own criteria, but for the UC’s, calculating your UC GPA will help on determining your chances.
You can check the common data set for each school and see where you fall on your unweighted GPA. Just google common data set for UCLA etc…
For a Match, you want to be in the 50 percentile.

USC/UCSD: Match
UCLA/UCB: High Match/Low Reach

@icefire111 Your unweighted GPA matters way more than your weighted GPA. If your UW GPA is 3.47, I would say USC is a pretty hard match for you. It got super competitve this year. Their average UW GPA for this years’ admits was 3.8. Their middle 50% range for this year’s admits was 2100 to 2250.
Your SAT isn’t really stellar for a school like USC, no offense, I would use your ACT score instead, but USC looks like a hard one for you.
And I don’t even want to talk about the UC’s because I think nowadays it depends on a lot of external factors. I’m graduating this year and going to USC, and I was rejected literally by EVERY single UC I applied for. And also my stats that I just gave you are probably more up-to-date than the ones you can find online, bc those were the stats they gave me when I went to a USC event in my area.
I would say UCSD is a the better match, and UCLA and UCBerkeley’s competition this year was no joke either. It only gets harder and harder each year. Best of luck.
