chances anyone?! (:

You’re a strong applicant, and I believe you’ll get in. UF can be pretty brutal on some OOS applicants, but I think you’ll be fine!

THank you! (:
anyone else?

The only thing working against you is being out of state. Best of luck to you.

out of stater with basically the same standardized test scores, but a lower GPA, and i got in.
Youre a lock, and youll definitely get some financial aid. UF rewards admitted out of state students

You have the scores to get in as a native Floridan for sure. However I would consider taking AP Bio since that is your intended major. UF does not care for nor evaluate your SAT II score which would have helped your chances. My best advice WORK YOUR ESSAY!! I know an admissions consoular they are no Ivy leauge they do not want the do one thing and be amazing at it person. They want a person who has seen a lot and done even more. Brag about it for 500 words and you’ll be in. I realize that this is the complete OPPISITE to what people told me during my college search but it is what turned out to be true. National Merit will definately help your chances but keep in mind you are applying to a school that accepts mainly in-state applicants so you better have a resume that shince and glistens… all the best!! :)

Don’t bet on it. S did no get in with 32 ACT and 3.8 unweighted GPA. Several AP classes, many honors classes, several varsity sports, clubs and student council officer. Accepted to Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Auburn, and huge scholarship to Bama. Oh… and he was born there and has Florida Prepaid.

While other poster’s comments about your stats being more than enough to get you in as an instate student provided EC’s and essay are good appears to be correct, getting in from OOS in the current environmet is very difficult. Currently, there are 6400 freshman admit slots. There are projected to be between 32,000-33,000 applicant for 2012. Out of state admits are capped at a maximum of 3% of the total number but in reality last year the amount of OOS admits was about 1.50%. That is about 98 students. There are some UF applicants that got into Ivy’s and top 20 schools like U of Chicago, MIT,CIT that were rejected at UF. With the reduction of in-state financial aid it is hard to predict what the final picture will look like. It is possible but by no means a sure thing. In addition your designated selection of a major has an impact. Women going into engineering or computer science are highly sought after and could bost admission chances.

I’d go ahead and say that you might get into UF honors.
