<p>I'm extremely worried that I might not get into UF so I want to see what you guys think and see if I have a good chance.</p>

<p>UF Recalculated GPA: 3.833
Sat composite: 1970 (retaking so it might jump to ~2000-2100)</p>

<p>Also have 130+ community service hours(I know, not that much)</p>

<p>My resume as of now(Not complete):</p>

<p>Academic Awards/Accomplishments</p>

<p>SAT II: 690 biology
AP Scores: 4 Biology, 5 Computer Science, 3 English Language, 3 English Literature and Composition, 3 United States History
ACT: 31 Composite (32 English / 10 Writing, 34 Math, 33 Reading, 26 Science)
FBLA Cyber Security Competition (districts) - 4th place
AP Scholar
2012 ACM-ICPC Qualifier Contest (Collegiate) – Completed 4 problems (some college teams couldn't even complete 4)
Took a pre-calculus course during the summer online for the sole purpose of my own benefit and earned an A.</p>

Interned at the Miami Science Museum – 3 Months
During the 3 months I was interning at the museum, I assisted with the creation and production of a mobile device application created for the museum. I also assisted with the research that was completed for the application as well.</p>

<p>Skills/Interests
Can type at 145 words per minute, which as quirky as it seems, is something I'm exceptionally proud about.
I love learning about cosmology and reading articles about astronomy and other interrelated subjects.</p>

<p>Also it might be notable that I got straight A's my junior year with 6 AP/IB courses.</p>

<p>I’d say send your ACT and not your SAT.</p>

<p>You should be good though if you apply for summer term. If you’re in state it would help more too. The lack of leadership positions may hinder you a bit and you’re a little under the middle 50% for the summer term as well. However the test scores may help you. You have a shot.</p>

<p>I’d say that it is a low match; you should get in but there’s still some room for rejection.</p>

<p>@kurzickchris Do you think that applying to summer term gives me a better shot? Also UF says that they take your best scores, and Im taking the SAT again so I might have a shot of doing better, but I have sent my ACT scores already and not my SAT so this might be good!</p>

<p>I think with a killer essay I might have a chance, but I’m really not sure.</p>

<p>Also, I wanted to mention that before junior year I had been a straight B student with no motive to do well in school and then junior year I realized I had to do better and wound up getting straight As, but I dont know where to mention that.</p>

<p>I think you’re good, maybe even get into the honors college with your ACT scores. I’d worry more about your GPA recalculation at UF than anything else, but I see you getting accepted.</p>
