Sorry I know, another chance me thread.. however I have new information that may help?

White Female in PA
W UF GPA: 3.9
UnW: 3.7
I'm in a very small district with no Pre AP, honors, and only 4 APs offered in 12th grade and thats all. My schedules have been very strenuous. This includes my senior schedule.
Taking my ACTS this September and hope to get a 26 or higher. I stand no chance with the 22 I have now.
850 hours of community service in about 4 major areas.
Class rank 17/73 or like 23% Like i said very small school..
I have been in many clubs and held a steady job for over 2 years.
I have leadership EX: I was the secretary on my Jr. volunteer board at a hospital.(550 hours)
Im not sure if this helps but I have traveled to some parts of the middle east?

The average ACT score for admitted students is 28, so hopefully you can hit that target! The average GPA is about 3.7 (weighted it’s up to 4.3), taking into account that Honor’s and AP’s are very limited at your school, your GPA shouldn’t be a big negative.

UF’s changed it’s process, they now require that you complete a SAR (student academic record) and not submit your transcripts (until you’ll accepted to the school). It’s hard to tell how these changes will impact admissions.

You have very strong EC’s, so if you can get your ACT up to 28 or so, you have a solid chance. However, since UF’s holistic admission process can seem a bit random, you should treat it as a low reach, and make sure you have a few other options. If you do score a 25 or 26 on your ACT, still apply to UF, you never know and a 25 is at the 25th percentile of admitted students.

The biggest problem I see is your rank. UF puts a lot if weight in school rank. State schools are a little less careful at analyzing applicants as other but you should apply anyways. UCF is another option. It is going up in ranks and it is more modern than UF. I believe that in a few years they will be ranked equally because UCF is starting to attract very good students and is getting more selective in its admission process.
