Chance Me For University of Southern California?

<p>I plan on applying to their main college or perhaps their business school... </p>

<p>GPA: 3.3UW / 3.5 W on a 4.0 scale (I know the GPA is low, but there's been a constant upward trend through high school)
ACT: 33 (35 English, 34 Math, 33 Reading)
APs: Physics, Bio, Calc AB, Spanish, Stats, Art
SAT II Subject Tests: Math 2 (710) and Literature (710)
Honors and Awards: National Merit Semi-Finalist and expect to be named a Finalist (I heard USC really likes this?)
Ranking: My school does not rank</p>

<p>Senior GPA: 3.5 UW / 3.7 W on a 4.0 scale </p>

<p>Senior Workload: 5 APs and 2.5 regular classes - the APs are the ones I listed above, minus physics (took junior year)</p>

<p>Residency: Out of state </p>

<p>ECs:
Tennis - 4 years
Lab Intern (1 year at cancer research lab, 1 year at engineering lab) - I expect to publish
Student Senator - Leadership position, elected by my peers
Art Museum Ambassador - 1 year
Inventor - I have 2 patents on file
Key Club - 4 years
Cultural Club - 4 years
Service Trips to build schools in foreign countries
Ski Patrol</p>

<p>Other:
I am an artist and have an art portfolio I hope to submit to help my resume
My college counselor used to work in admissions for USC, and has some good connections there</p>

<p>Essays:
My essays are over the top, I've had some great mentoring through the writing process </p>

<p>I attend one of the most competitive private schools in my state, and my college counselors say we actually grade-deflate, so hopefully that will help me get in. </p>
